Thunderbird Mountain Preserve is about 15 minutes away if you enjoy hiking. There are also quite a few parks near the community.

The city bus is the public transportation system available. Of course Uber or Lyft are also good options. Skunk creek is behind the community and is a good place to walk or ride your bike.
